Iris Wright is a serial entrepreneur and owner of Caring Hearts Telecare, Caring Hearts Birthing Services, Caring Hearts Foundation, Caring Hearts Telecoach, Wrights Virtual Services, Wrights Holdings, Author Iris Wright, and Real Talk with Iris. She has been married to her husband for 12 years. They have a blended family with six children and three grandchildren. Originally from Delaware, they moved to Newport News, Virginia, four years ago, seeking change.
At an early age, Iris was always enthusiastic about helping people and knew she would be an entrepreneur. For ten years, she managed restaurants and tried various positions. At the age of 28, Iris started working in the healthcare field and enjoyed caring for people, but she still could not find a job she enjoyed.
In early 2019, after reading Steve Harvey's book, "Jump," Iris quit her job, took the journey to become an entrepreneur, and opened Wrights Virtual Services. January 2021, her dream became a reality when she opened Caring Hearts Senior Living. They closed to make changes due to the staffing shortage, Medicaid and Covid; however, in July 2022, their Virtual and Hybrid Home Care Services, Caring Hearts Telecare, was launched. Caring Hearts Telecare has been nominated for Best Home Care of the year 2023 for Newport News, VA.
In 2022, during the month of July, Iris spoke at an online seminar with Leading Age about how they were using Telehealth in Home Care. She was nominated for two awards with ACHI Magazine in 2022 and an award with Sisters Leaders Award. She was also given the Phenomenal Women Award by My Sisters Keeper. She was given the 2023 Empowered Diva award. She has been nominated for Emerging Entrepreneur, Most Influential, most social media and Most Financial Growth award with Emerge Magazine. She was given the Community Leader Award 2023 from ACHI Magazine. She was also given the 2023 Author Allstar and 20th Top Author of the Year Award. Iris was given two Honorary Doctorate degrees in Healthcare Administration and Business in 2023 as well.
Iris co-authors Words of Wisdom for the Heart and Soul Volume II (Best- Seller), What Is Fearless Living, Girl Don't Count Yourself Out (Mothers Edition), Joy 365, Audacity to Be Empowered, and she is the visionary of her own Best-Seller anthology called Injustice, she has her solo book Injustice My Story coming out soon.
As a serial entrepreneur, Iris takes extraordinary pride in taking care of small businesses and has a great passion for the seniors and the people in our community. Through this journey, she has advocated for the senior population and Home Care community by working extremely hard to find a way to make Home Care more affordable for our seniors and for them to receive quality care. She has also been advocating for our Seniors to try and get the reimbursement rate increased. January 2023, Iris started her own Injustice Movement. This moment will get the community together to raise money to help people who are innocent get counsel and help mothers get their children back. In this journey, Iris is determined to grow and achieve her highest level of success.
