Tanya White, Ed.S. is the author of several inspirational self-help books such as Yes, I Am Enough!, Yes, I Am Enough: The Next Level! Relationship Reruns, You Can’t Quit Now. Tanya always writes from her real-life revelations. However, while beginning to write and manage her first anthology, Tanya did not know that God was going to make her walk through a fresh battle that was going to test her faith, focus and perseverance.
On June 4, 2021, Tanya was set to begin calling for author submissions for her project The Battle Behind My Smile: Public Testimonies of Triumph In the Midst of Our Private Trauma. In the midst of relocating to Indianapolis, IN to begin a new life with her God-sent companion, as well as start a career in one of the charter schools, they received medical news that paralyzed their plans.
On June 11, 2021, doctors recommended Hospice care for Stefon and gave him a life expectancy of 6-12 months. However, six weeks later Tanya was peacefully devastated when her beloved Stefon died.
Not wanting to proceed with the plans for The Battle Behind My Smile, Tanya obeyed God’s leading and went forth. A total of seventeen male and female coauthors from five states signed on to pour their hearts into this anthology. Each author, including Tanya has delivered powerful stories that ignite healing and open dialogue concerning issues as domestic violence, inter-family homicide, spiritual authority abuse, molestation, rejection and much more.
A native of Louisville, Tanya earned a B.S. in Business Management. M.A. in Teaching, M.A. in School Counseling grades K-12 as well as Ed.S. in Educational Leadership/Principal Certification. All degrees were obtained from the University of Louisville. Tanya spent twenty years in the Louisville Public School System as a special education teacher for thirteen years and as an elementary school counselor administrator the last seven years.
During her tenure as a school counselor administrator, Tanya was intentional about creating innovative student opportunities that were genuinely inclusively diverse in race, academic ability, gender, social background, and ethnicity. All stakeholders felt an authentic sense of belonging in Tanya’s presence. They all knew that their voice was heard and respected with her.
Whether she was serving as a school counselor administrator, host, and executive producer on her former popular Blog Talk internet radio show Real Talk With Tanya White, speaking to hundreds or coaching individuals and groups, her purpose remains the same―to change people’s “No I Can’t” attitudes into “Yes I Can” actions which will eventually lead to “Yes I Did” accomplishments.
In September of 2021, she launched her company SNT Publishing, “Where the Love of Writing Births Books of Excellence. On September 6, 2022, Tanya relaunched her Real Talk With Tanya White show on WLLV, Louisville’s premier gospel radio station. The show airs on Tuesdays at 9 AM EST on 101.9 FM and live stream via www.wllvonline.com.
Tanya is set to release 9th book project on November 22, 2022 entitled The Prayers of the Righteous and Grieving Availeth Much: Balancing Your Spiritual Faith and Human Feelings During Death and Other Loss. Her 10th book, Professionally Lynchedwill chronicle her shocking story serving 7 years as a school counselor administrator in the public school system in Kentucky serving under two black principals who bullied, harassed, humiliated, and blackballed her. This riveting eye-opening project will be released June 6, 2023.
Tanya currently lives in Louisville, KY. She is a doting aunt of six nieces and nephews who affectionately call her “Aunt Tee”, a super huge fan of the group New Edition, and a devoted member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. actively serving in the Louisville Alumnae Chapter.
Tanya has been a featured author on the Delta Authors On Tour hosted by the National Arts and Letters Commission of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. as well as being a featured author at the Art Speaks Cafe Book Talks Discussion during the 2022 Indiana Black Expo.
